Materials

1 A4 Sheet of JS Elegance Satin Card 300gsm.
2 A4 Sheets of JS Elegance Satin Paper 160gsm.
1 A4 Sheet of JS Elegance Satin Paper 160gsm for sentiment (optional).
1 A4 Sheet JS Gold Mirri Card.
Fine Line Gold Peel-offs.
Sticky Stuff – I used Double Sided Tape and Collall Photo Glue.
JS If Flowers Could Talk CD. – I used the Stargazer Lily image but this card could be adapted to use many of the other images on the CD.

Step One

Using 160gsm Satin Elegance Paper print out a sheet of toppers and matching backing paper.

Step Two

Cut out one of the large toppers. Cut out the second large topper cutting away all but the ribbon and the lilies and leaving an extra tab at the top and bottom of the ribbon to attach the ribbon and lily to the front of the card.

Step Three

Using an A4 sheet of Elegance Card 300gsm, landscape orientation, score in half vertically. Do not fold score line.

Position the large topper on the front of the card and mark the four corners – shown by the black dots.

Join the black dots and cut out the aperture.

Fold the card in half.

Step Four

Mount the topper onto a piece of mirri card and a piece of the backing paper.

Position and fix the topper on the inside of the card so it can be seen through the aperture.

Apply small pieces of double sided tape to the wrong side of ribbon/lily strip so that when the topper is placed on the front of the card the double sided tape cannot be seen from the inside of the aperture. Do not remove the double sided tape.

Step Five

Position the ribbon/lily on the front of the card, lining up with the ribbon/lily on the topper inside the card.

Remove the double sided tape for the back of the ribbon/lily and fix to the front of the card.

Cut out the three small matching toppers and cut out the large lily on two of the toppers

Step Six

Attach a strip of fine line gold peel-offs round the edge of the aperture.

Fix two of the cut lilies to the top and bottom of the ribbon strip to hide the tabs.

Attach the third small topper to the back of the card.

Optional – Add a matching sentiment. If you want to add a sentiment, how to personalize a sentiment and import it into a Word Processing or Graphics programme for re-sizing is explained on the CD. If you wish to use the matching sentiment on the CD you will need to re-size it to approximately 6cms wide to fit on the card.

Step Seven

Cut a strip of backing paper approximately 8mm wide and fix to the inside of the card to reinforce the ribbon/lily strip.

This card will fit in a C5 envelope.
