Materials

For each card
1 sheet of JS A4 Stardream cardstock,
1 sheet JS Mirri Silk cardstock.
Sticky stuff – I used double sided tape, foam pads or silicone glue.
Versamark ink pad and gold fine detail embossing powder, or peel-off sentiments.

Extra materials for individual cards

Card One – Made using Stardream Mars Cardstock
2 sheets of JS Gentle Gloss photo paper.
JS Messy Rabbit CD – The Christmas Collection.

Card Two – Stardream Lapis Lazuli Cardstock
Extra Sheet of Stardream Cardstock for topper.
JS Mary and the Magi stamp-plate.
Brilliance Galaxy Gold stamp pad.
Tiny star peel-off.
Lyra crayons or other colouring medium.

Base card for Cards 1 & 2

Cut a piece of Stardream card 297mm x 148mm and score horizontally at 148mm (this will create a square card when folded) (See red card).  On the top half of the card, down both side edges mark a point 74mm from the top edge, and horizontally mark and score 3cms from each side. (This is shown by the red line – see first picture).

From this point (3cms from the side edge), measure downwards to points 3cms from the centre score line.  Join these points and cut. (This is shown by the green line – see first picture).

Cut a small ^ notch 1cm wide approximately 5.5cms from the bottom of the card and centred horizontally.

Optional, decorate the outside of the card and add an extra sentiment for added interest.  I used a large snowflake stamp from the JS Christine Coleman Christmas Holly set.

Card One – Made using Stardream Mars Cardstock

Make the base card for Card 1.

Using some Gentle Gloss photo paper, print one of the smallest toppers.  Cut a Mirri silk mat slightly larger than the topper and mat and layer and fix to the up stand of the card.

Using Gentle Gloss photo paper print a backing sheet, cut to desired size, layer a piece of mirri card on top,  add a sentiment and fix in place  (See picture).

Card Two – Stardream Lapis Lazuli Cardstock

Make the base card for Card 2.

Cut a piece of Stardream card 95mm x 67mm.  Using the Versamark stamp pad and detail gold embossing powder, stamp and emboss the Bethlehem stamp.  Colour the image, I used Lyra crayons and found they worked well on dark cardstock.

Mat the image onto a piece of Mirri card 100mm x 72mm.  Add a small star and fix onto the up stand of the card.

Stamp and mat the “O little town of Bethlehem” legend onto the card.  I used the Brilliance Galaxy Gold stamp pad and gave the stamped image a quick blast with the heat gun, to ensure it was dry.  Stardream is a coated cardstock and sometimes stamped images take a little longer to dry.  Fix to the card.  (See picture).
