Step One

Using the sheet of A4 Stardream card, portrait orientation cut in half lengthways, to create two pieces of card 10.5cms x 29.7cms.

With landscape orientation - commencing at both top outer edges, measure and score two panels each 4cms wide. Valley fold all the score lines. (See picture).

Make the base for the toppers by cutting the second piece of card in half again, creating two pieces of card 10.5cms x 14.8cms.

Step Two

Using Gentle Gloss photo paper, capture and print two toppers and a sentiment, from the Puppies and Kittens CD. Choose toppers which have a landscape orientation and which can be trimmed to 9cms x 12.5cms. I used the second sized topper and cut inside the narrow border. The sentiment should measure approximately 6.2cms x 8cms.

It explains on the CD how to capture the images and import them into a word processing programme. Using this method the two toppers and the sentiment can be printed on one sheet of photo paper.

The CD also includes a feature where you can change the font and font colour on the interactive sentiments. This is also explained in the "How To" section on the CD.

Trim the toppers to 9cms x 12.5cms

Cut two pieces of mirri card 9.5cms x 13cms and mount the toppers on the mirri card.

Using the Stardream topper base measuring 10.5cms x 14.8cms cut away a narrow strip of card 30mm x 7mm from the top and bottom of the 10.5cms side edge. This will leave a narrow centre tab 45mm x 7mm. (See Fig. 2). Repeat with the second topper base.

Centre (excluding the tab which should be at the right-hand side of the topper base) and mount the topper on the base. Repeat with the second topper base but this time the tab must be at the left-hand side of the base.

Score the tabs (See next picture).

Trim the sentiment to 6.2cms x 8cms.

Mount on a piece of mirri card 6.7cms x 8.5cms

Mount the sentiment and mirri card on to a piece of Stardream 7.2cms x 9cms (See picture - figure A).

Fix foam pads to the reverse of the sentiment as shown. Avoid fixing the pads down the side of the card as the tabs locate underneath the sentiment. (See picture - figure B).

Step Three

Centre and fix the sentiment to the centre of the large middle panel.

Apply DST to the left and right outer 4cms panels and fix the toppers so that the topper on the right overhangs the panel by 2cms at the left-hand side of the panel.

The topper on the left panel should overhang the panel by 2cms at the right-hand side.

Valley fold the tabs and locate underneath the sentiment.

Step Four

This picture shows the card folded down for posting.
