Materials

2 A4 sheets of Stardream Opal cardstock
2 A4 sheets JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper
Piece of Mirri Silk Card 10cms x 10cms
Approx 25cms of 7mm pink organza ribbon
Sticky stuff (I used foam pads, double sided tape and Collall photo glue)
Optional - peel off corners to decorate the diamond topper - Circular scalloped Nestabilities
JS - In Other Words CD (I used the middle size Circular Rose and matching insert on page one of the Picture Toppers section)

Step One

Using Stardream card cut a sheet of A4 to measure 12cms x 29.7cms. With portrait orientation, score in half (see picture - A to B) to create a tent fold card. Do not fold.

Using the centre score line as a guide, divide the score line into three 4cms sections.

Along the long side edges measure points 4.5cms either side of the centre score line.

Score diagonally from the 4.5cms point to create a 6cms score line which joins up to nearest 4cms point on the centre score line (C to D). Repeat with the other three 4.5cms points. This will create two sideways "V" shapes.

Measure a point 2cms from each corner along the short (12cms) sides. Join the 2cms points to the 4.5cms point along the long side edge to create a diagonal line and cut away. (See green line).

Mountain fold the centre score line and then valley fold it.

Open the card flat and mountain fold the sideways "Vs" making sure you do not fold outside the score lines. (See picture)

Open the card out and mountain fold the centre score line, at the same time pushing the sideways "Vs" inwards and the two outer sections of the centre score line downwards and into a valley fold. (the next picture shows the card after folding).

Cut a square of Stardream card 10cms x 10 cms for topper.

Step Two

Using JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper print one sheet of toppers and one of the matching inserts (A4 Portrait - use interactive if you want to change the sentiment).

To make the front mat, using one side of the card as a template, and with the wrong side facing, draw round the polka dot insert (See picture A). Cut out 5mm smaller on the bottom and sides and 3cms smaller at the top (See picture F). Decorate with ribbon, and fix the mat to the front of the card.

If you are making an insert, use the sentiment side of the insert and cut the insert to an identical size as the front mat. (See Fig. 2 E). Fix inside the card.

Using a middle sized topper fix it to a slightly larger circle of Mirri silk card. I used a scalloped Nestability die. If you don't have the die, use a suitable glass or reel of double sided tape to measure. (C & D)

Stick the circular topper to the Mirri silk circle. I used Collall photo glue.

Decorate the edges of the square diamond topper - I used corner peel-offs. Alternatively stamp and emboss the corners.

Turn the diamond topper point downwards and mount the circular topper on the diamond using foam pads.

Position the diamond topper on the front of the card, so the side points of the "diamond" slightly overlap the side points of the card. Lightly mark where the diamond over sails the card. Fix foam pads inside the marks so that when the diamond topper is fixed to the card the pads won't show.

Tie a knot/bow round the ribbon.
