JS Precious Petals CD
Step One
Using JS Precious Petals CD - red hearts backing paper, print onto two sheets of cardstock. Print the remaining sheet of cardstock on both sides.
Using the double-sided (printed) cardstock cut two squares of card 12.5cms x 12.5cms. Place one square on top of the other diagonally so you create eight triangular flaps of equal size. I found it easier to line the square up against the markings on the cutting mat. Glue together and score along the bottom edge of each of the triangular flaps - shown by red line. (See picture).
Make your heart template from a rectangle of card 7.5cms x 6.5cms, or use the third largest Nestabilities heart, or largest Woodware heart punch. (See pic A).
Cut 16 hearts from the remaining two sheets of card and the leftover card (from cutting the squares). Emboss eight of the hearts in the top right-hand corner. I used the heart spray using the Messy Rabbit - Rabbit Couple rubber stamp and in filled the hearts using Gold Pentouch pen.
Step Two and Three
Bend the triangular flaps upwards. Stick the eight embossed hearts to the outside of the flaps, points of hearts to the base of the triangle. Stick the remaining eight hearts to the inside of the flaps, matching up the hearts. (See picture)
Step Three - Print the rose insert, (A5 Portrait Interactive) Precious Petals CD. For the topper trim to size 9cms x 7.5cms a rectangle around the rose. Mount onto a Mirri Silk mat 9.5cms x 8cms. Add a sentiment. I printed mine onto the insert and cut it out.
Add the letters W I T H L O V E onto the eight inside hearts. (See Main Picture).
Step Four
Close the hearts inwards so the embossed heart spray is showing. Tuck the last heart under the first to complete the closure.
Rose Heart Card
Make the Rose Heart card using Stardream card, and complete as per Step 3.
Cut eight large roses from four rose sprays and mount in the top right-hand corner of the outside of the hearts.
