Materials
1 A4 Sheet JS Stardream Card - I used Citrine
1 A4 Sheet JS Gold Mirri Card
1 A4 Sheet JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper
Sticky Stuff - I used double sided tape, Collall photo glue, and foam pads
JS Times Gone By CD
Optional - Martha Stewart, Punch Around the Page - Double Loops Set
NB All punches vary. If you are using a border punch please check that your card is not too thick for the punch.
There is a video on the website which explains how to capture single images and paste them into word processing or graphics programmes. Click here to view the video
Step One
Cut a piece of Stardream card 14.8cms x 21cms (A5). Portrait orientation, measure and mark the centre point "A" across the top edge.
Measure and mark three points at 4.5cms intervals "B F & E" and "C G and D" down both side edges.
Score the Red and Blue lines. Cut away the Green lines (See picture).
Mountain fold the red lines and valley fold the blue line "F to G". Do not fold the blue line "E to D" yet.
Step Two
Optional - Using a Martha Stewart corner punch, decorate the bottom corners of the card.
Crease the fold lines and fold point "B to point E" and point "C to point F". (See picture).
Valley fold the score line "E to F". This forms the base/stand for the card
Apply double sided tape to the triangle below the diamond, and fix to the base. (See picture).
Step Three
Using Gentle Gloss Photo Paper print out the smallest Chicken topper from the Animal Section on the "Times Gone By" CD. I also printed a "Happy Easter" sentiment using the interactive facility (explained how on the CD). Mount the sentiment onto gold mirri card.
Cut away the striped border round the Chicken topper and mount onto gold mirri card. I left a narrow gold border round the topper. If your border is a little uneven, use a 6mm embossing tool and butt it up to the edge of the mirri card at an angle. Run the embossing round the edge and it will neaten the edge.
Fix the topper to the horizontal diamond. I used foam pads.
Optional - To make the fancy border strip for the bottom of the card.
Cut a strip of gold mirri card 3cms x 13cms. Centre it in the border punch (it should fit the width of the punch exactly. Start punching from the centre of the card.
After punching one side, turn the card round and centre again before punching the opposite side of the strip. Trim the strip to fit the card fix and apply the sentiment.
I decorated the corners of the card with the tiny chickens; this of course is optional again.
This card will fit into a 16cms x 16cms envelope.
