Materials

2 Sheets of Joanna Sheen’s “Stardream” A4 cardstock.
2 Sheets of Joanna Sheen’s Mirri Silk Gold card.
1 Sheet of Joanna Sheen’s Gentle Gloss Photo Paper for toppers.
Joanna Sheen ATC Assistant CD.
Versamark stamp pad.
Detail Gold embossing powder.
Joanna Sheen Lace Collection – Lacy Flounce stamp sheet.
Approximately 1metre of fine ribbon to cover the joins inside the card and to fasten the sentiment.
Sticky Stuff (I used, Collall Glue, Red Liner tape, double sided tape.)

NB.   Pics in steps 1, 3, 4 and 5 are shown using blank card to illustrate the folds more clearly.

Step One

Using a piece of A4 Stardream cardstock, landscape orientation mark a point 4cms down/up from the top/bottom corners.  Lightly score horizontally between the points.  This is shown by the blue dotted line.

Divide the card horizontally into 4 equal sections of 74mm each (there will be 1mm spare to trim). Score vertically. This is shown by long red lines.

Using the score line shown in blue as a guide, mark the centre point of each 74mm section.  This is shown by the small circles with a dot in the middle.

Score the two end sections of the 4cms strips vertically top and bottom.  This is shown by the short red lines.

On the two centre sections top and bottom, line-up your ruler vertically between the two dots and cut a 2cms vertical slit – comprising of 1cm either side of the small circle and dot. This is shown by the short vertical green lines.

Mark a T (top) and B (bottom) at the edges of the left-hand centre section.  Mark a corresponding T and B lightly on the reverse of the left-hand side of the 4cms strips.

Step Two

Cut the card horizontally along the 4cms scored lines separating the cardstock into three sections

Using the Versamark stamp pad and embossing with Detail Gold powder, position the large Lacy Stamp so the scalloped edge is stamped at the top and bottom edge of the 4cms strip.  Cut away the excess card above/below the scallop.

Position the Lacy Stamp vertically and stamp the four panels of the 13cms centre section of the card.  Rotate the stamp and position centrally on each panel. (See picture).

Step Three

Crease your score lines.

Fold the card sections with a mountain fold at the centre of the 13cms centre section and a valley fold at the centre of the two 4cms sections. You will have an extra fold at both ends of the 4cms sections. (See picture).   Do not assemble the card sections yet.

Print out your chosen toppers.  You will need eight toppers and eight pieces of mirri-silk card each slightly larger than the topper.  Mount the toppers on the Mirri card and fix one topper to each of the four centre section embossed panels (See main picture which shows completed card – it is easier to fix the toppers before assembling the card).

Attach two of the remaining toppers to the two centre panels on the reverse of the card. (See picture 7 showing completed card).

Step Four

Assemble the card by slotting the top and bottom sections into the centre section.

Using double sided tape or glue fix the corners of the top and bottom sections to the centre section.  This is shown by the paperclip.  They should overlap by approximately 2cm. (See picture).

Cover the visible joints on the two end panels with a length of narrow ribbon (See main picture).

Step Five

Fold the card closed, and measure and cut two pieces of cardstock the same size as the folded card.  Fix to the back and front of the card only gluing where the piece of cardstock comes in the contact with the folded card.  (See picture).

Step Six

Decorate the back and the front panels of the card.  I cut a piece of mirri-silk slightly smaller than the panel, and used a right-angled fancy corner punch at each corner, cutting away the centre. Trim the top of the card to match the scalloped border.  I mounted one of the toppers in the centre and added a sentiment tied with ribbon.  (See picture)
