Materials
1 A4 sheet JS Stardream Card - I used Citrine.
1 A4 sheet JS Black Mirri Card.
1 A4 sheet JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper.
Sticky Stuff - I used Double Sided Tape.
JS Furry Friends CD.
Optional-Nestabilities Scallop Circle, Scallop Fancy Scissors or Scallop attachment for trimmer.
Fantasy Flowers
1 A4 sheet 160gsm thin card.
Sticky Stuff - I used Pinflair Glue Gel and Aleenes Tacky Glue. A small amount of Flowersoft.
CREAlies Creative Flowers Die CL CF 05.
Step One
Optional - I printed my Stardream card with the backing paper design which matched my chosen topper.
Cut a piece of Stardream card 24.5cms x 17.5cms. Cut out a section 19.5cms x 5cms and measure and score as shown in the illustration. Valley fold the score lines.
Step Three
Using Gentle Gloss photo paper, print out the second largest topper and a matching sentiment topper. If you wish to add a message, how to, is explained on the CD.
Optional - Cut a Nestability scallop circle using black mirri card. Mount the sentiment on the scallop circle.
Mount the topper on a piece of black mirri card. The mounted topper should measure 12.5cms x 10.5cms. I used a scalloped blade on my trimmer to cut the mirri card.
Attach the topper to the large easel up stand of the card.
Attach the circular sentiment to the small diagonal easel at the front of the card.
Step Four
To make the flowers, print out a matching backing sheet using 160gsm thin card.
Using the CREAlies die, cut some flowers to decorate the front of the card.
Each flower is made up of two identical sized layers. The layers are given dimension by working each petal in a circular motion, using either a large ball embossing tool or the shaping tool shown in the illustration.
Stick the two layers together using Aleenes tacky glue, and alternating the petals on the two layers. The flowers centres are made using Flowersoft and Aleenes tacky glue.
Apply Pinflair glue gel to the underside of the flowers and fix to the front of the card so they act as retainers for the topper.
This card will fit in a 15cms square envelope, but if your flowers are large it will fit better in a box.
