Materials

2 x A4 sheets JS Lapis Lazuli cardstock.
1 x A4 sheet JS Gold Mirri cardstock.
1 x A5 sheet from the JS Pastel Plaid papers pad.
JS Syntego Heather and Ivy sprays.
Small ribbon bow.
Peel-off borders (DD 6574 multiwaves are suitable) and letters.
Sticky stuff - I used double sided tape, photo glue and silicone glue.

Step One

Cut a piece of Lapis Lazuli card 125mm x 297 mm. Landscape orientation mark the centre point on the top and bottom edges of the card. Mark again at 40mm (points A 2 and A 4) and 80mm (points A 1 and A 5) either side of the centre points top and bottom edge. I have numbered the measurements A 1 - A 5 at the top and B 1 - B 5 at the bottom. (See picture)

Score but don't fold between points
A 1 - B 1
A 2 - B 2
A 4 - B 4
A 5 - B 5 (these score lines will be valley folded).

Score but don't fold between points
A 1 - B 3
A 3 - B 5
B 1 - A 3
B 3 - A 5 (these score lines will be mountain folded).

The remaining card either side of the measured section forms the wings to enable to card to stand.

Fold the card along the score lines. (Picture in Step Three shows the folded card).

Step Two

Use an old CD to draw a circle on the wrong side of a piece of gold mirri card. Cut out on the pencil line.

Using the CD, draw another circle on the Lapis Lazuli card, this time cutting approximately 1mm outside the pencil line so it is slightly larger than the mirri card circle.

Centre the mirri circle on top of the card and glue the two circles together. Draw a smaller circle inside the mirri circle (I used an empty reel of double sided tape as a guide). Cover the edge of the mirri circle and the inner drawn circle with border peel-offs.

Add the sentiment, I chose Happy New Year. Turn the circle so the sentiment is positioned correctly.

Add a small circle of the plaid paper with a peel off edge to the bottom of the inner circle and fix the heather spray and bow in place. (See picture and also picture of completed card).

Step Three

Cut two pieces of mirri card 58mm x 115mm. With portrait orientation, fix double sided tape down the length of the centre of the card. (See "A" on picture).

Cut two pieces of the plaid backing paper 40mm x 210mm. Pleat the backing paper so it fits along the length of the mirri card. Remove the backing from the double sided tape and stick the pleating down adjusting as necessary. Fix a thin strip of mirri card over the pleating. Attach to the side wing of the card. (See "B" on picture). Repeat with the opposite side.

Now to make the pleating. Using a strip of backing paper and landscape orientation, mark and score segments across the strip at 18mm and 7mm intervals. Then mountain fold the red and valley fold the blue lines.

If you have the blue Eazi Score board use the Box 1 and Box 2 score lines butting the last line scored against the sidebar after scoring each set of two lines.

Step Four

Fix the Circle to the centre of the diamond using double sided tape. (See picture of completed card).

To fold the card for posting, fold the left-hand side of the card flat and then fold the right-hand side flat. The flanged section at the right-hand side of the card will fold over the left-hand side. (See picture which shows the card when folded).
