3 Sheet A4 JS Gentle Gloss Photo Paper
1 Sheet JS Gold Mirri Card
10cms square Green Mirri Card
6 Sheets A4 120gms Paper
10.5cms square Gold Paper
1.5mtrs Dark Green Ribbon - I coloured JS 15mm white organza ribbon with Pine Promarker
1.5mtrs Gold Ribbon - I coloured the organza ribbon with Mustard Promarker
JS Giordano Christmas Creations CD
Peel-off number 1 to 25
Sticky Stuff - I used Double Sided Tape, Foam Pads and Collall Photo Glue
JS Giordano Friends G10719 - Candy Cane Stamp
Versamark stamp-pad, Gold Embossing powder, Green Perfect Pearls
25 Chocolate Pennies

Optional - I used Nestabilities - Scallop Circles and Labels to create mats for the toppers

Step One

Portrait orientation cut three sheets of Stardream card in half, to create six pieces of card 10.5cms x 29.7cms. You will use five pieces of the card. Do not mark or score yet.

I also cut a piece of 160gsm thin card to the same size to create a template to transfer measurements to the Stardream card. Centre and mark three equidistant points within both the 2.5cms sections. (See picture)

Step Two

The book is made up of a Front - score at the left and using the template make three holes at the left.

Three Inside Pages - score and make three holes at both sides.

Back - score and make three holes at the right-hand side.

I used a Japanese screw punch to make the holes.

Round off the corners. (See picture)

Step Three

Using 120gms paper print out six backing sheets from the JS Giordano Christmas Creations CD. I printed both sides of the paper using a striped backing (Children's Toppers, Page 1, Image 6) on one side of all six sheets. (See picture)

Using Gentle Gloss Photo paper, print out two pages of embellishments. (See picture)

Step Four

Cut the backing sheets to create six squares 21cms x 21cms. If your printer will not edge to edge print, square off to create the largest square possible and adjust the size of the smaller square. Divide the 21cms square into four smaller squares 10.5cms x 10.5cms (See picture design 1) you should now have 24 small squares.

To make the chocolate penny pocket, fold a square in half diagonally to create a triangle. (See picture design 2)

Fold the bottom right-hand corner of the side edge upwards so the side edge is horizontal. (See picture design 3)

Repeat with the bottom left-hand corner. (See picture design 4)

Fold the front flap downwards and secure with double sided tape. (See picture design 5)

I found it easier to make a pocket using copy paper and fold the printed pockets round it. (See picture design 6)

The bottom of the pocket should measure approximately 4cms.

Step Five

Fix three pockets to each side of the three inside pages of the book, and to the insides of the front and back pages. Cut out the embellishments and attach to the front of each pocket using foam pads. (See picture)

Decorate the page. I used the Candy Cane stamp with a Versamark stamp pad, embossed some of the candy canes with detail gold embossing powder and stippled some using Perfect Pearls.

Stick a number 1 - 24 on each pocket. (See picture)

Step Six

For the front cover of the book, using Gentle Gloss Photo paper print out a topper, and sentiments, mount onto Gold Mirri card and fix to the front of the book. If you copy and import the topper and sentiments into a word processing programme (how to is explained on the CD), they will all fit on one page.

After importing the topper into the word processing programme resize to approximately 6.5cms by clicking on the topper and dragging one of the little boxes at the corner diagonally. The sentiments are interactive; add your sentiment before importing into the word processing programme (also explained on the CD). (See picture)

Stamp candy canes to decorate.

Step Seven

To decorate the back cover of the book, using a piece of Gold paper 10.5cms x 10.5cms make a pocket and mount the Santa embellishment.

Mount the Crib embellishment onto Gold and Green Mirri card.

Using double sided tape fix the Santa and Crib to the outside of the back of the book and decorate with spare embellishments and candy canes. Add the number 25 to the gold pocket.

Step Eight

If you don't have the correct colour of ribbon, colour using Promarkers. I used mustard and pine green and coloured two 1.5mtr lengths of JS 15mm organza ribbon. Cut each length into six equal size pieces.

Knot three pieces of ribbon through the left-hand side of the book front and the first insert page fastening the two pages of the book together.

Knot three pieces of ribbon through the right-hand side of the first insert page and second insert page fastening the two pages together.

Repeat at the left-hand side of the second insert page and the third insert page.

Continue until the back cover of the book has been knotted at the right-hand side. (See picture)

To make a box for the book you will need A3 Card. Otherwise decorate a plain bottle bag with a co-ordinating topper/sentiment.
